Kelly Clarkson (American singer/songwriter) is a well-known American after winning American Idol's debut season. The victory not only propelled her to stardom, but also earned her a multi-album recording contract with RCA Records 19 Recordings and 'S Records. Since then she has recorded numerous studio albums, three of that reached the top of the US Billboard 200' chart, while her other albums barely did not make it to the top. She's one of the biggest performers to emerge from American Idol. To achieve her success she played around with various genres of music and experimented with topics. Her individuality and her singing talent earned her praise from critics along with a host of high-profile award. One of her most memorable achievements was that she received the Grammy Award three times. Alongside her career in music, she has been featured in movies as well as television programs. She is also the author of the book for children River Rose and the Magical Lullaby and is involved in numerous charities.
